Berlin Currywurst, located in the heart of Los Angeles at 317 S Broadway, has carved a niche as a beloved hot dog restaurant since its inception in 2012. It has enchanted both locals and visitors alike with its authentic German offerings, particularly the iconic currywurst, which is praised for its delightful curry ketchup. Melissa Castellano, a devoted fan, hails their tofu kielbasa, especially when smothered in curry sauce, highlighting how the fries are thick-cut yet light, a perfect marriage of texture and flavor.
Customers rave about the crispiness of the fries and the unique taste that sets them apart from typical fast food. Alex Schenke emphasizes the perfection of the sausage and the crucial role the curry ketchup plays in this culinary experience. Quick and friendly service further enhances the experience, with patrons like Molly Jacobs enjoying the home-cooked feel reminiscent of family meals.
Berlin Currywurst also offers additional comfort food such as pretzels paired with sweet mustard and a selection of sausages, making it an ideal spot for a casual yet satisfying meal. With no lines and attentive service, it is no wonder that numerous customers like Hans Alvarez willingly return for another taste of this delicious homage to Berlin's street food. As a food reviewer, I wholeheartedly recommend Berlin Currywurst for both currywurst aficionados and newcomers looking to dive into a flavorful adventure.

Dear. Berlin Currywurst, I love you and I've been loving you for a loooooong time--like since you opened on Sunset in 2012-ish and I used to also frequent your Hollywood location too. I'm a vegetarian and your tofu kielbasa is wonderful, although I do recommend getting it in the curry sauce, or getting the curry sauce on the bun. That curry sauce...dear god, if it weren't spicy, I would bathe in that stuff. Those German fries are thick cut, but somehow light and so flavorful--they actually taste like potato, not a fried salt lick like so many others I've had. I'm munching on a pretzel with your sweet mustard as I write this and it's all a pretzel needs to be--truly. To the naysayers who says it's not like they make them in Berlin...this is Los Angeles...we do what we want here. Never change. You have my heart. Love, Melissa

No wait. Super nice lady behind the counter. Delicious curry flavored ketchup. Reminded me of my mom's cooking.

Quick and friendly service. The Kase sausage with sauerkraut is quite tasty and brings the heat. I suggest the sweet mustard as it compliments the sausage and pairs well with a pretzel and beer :)

Berlin Currywurst is a must try. I had the Sausage hash with a Brat and it was amazing! The bratwurst was tasty with a savory curry sauce that wasn’t overpowering. It came with an egg that gave it a creaminess and the roasted potatoes had the right amount of crisp. Definitely would have again!!

Very accessible little spot in the front of GCM. 7 or so seats at the bar, and several tables right across the aisle. Sausages world pretty good, but maybe a touch bland. Brioche rolls are too big for the sausage, and kind of drown it out. French fries were recommended, and 100% on point... Some of the best I've ever had! Worth your time first stop, great grab and go or sit down, whichever works for you!

This has been my favorite place to eat for many years. The best fries ever and incredible authentic, tasty sausages. I've never been to Germany but I can imagine this is as close to being there as you could get in LA. Thank you for always taking pride in making excellent meals.
